The 1.03 acre site is located in the Brentwood District of the City of Los Angeles. The site is a fl ag lot with access to Barrington via a private street called Dustan Way. The side yards have existing residential developments and the rear yard fronts onto the Veterans Administration Property. dunstan way is a 48 unit multi-family housing project located in the dense residential neighborhoods of Brentwood, in the city of los angeles. the central concept is the courtyard, strategically sited to take advantage of the naturalistic landscape of the adjacent veterans administration property. as the property is approached from the street, the layering and sequence of spaces allows incremental views of the courtyard and the greenery beyond. the units surrounding the courtyard are designed with a dramatic roof edge to allow for maximum sunlight and minimal shadows in the open spaces.
